Care Worker

Care Worker

You have completed your Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disabilities) or above, and/or worked a couple of years in aged care or NDIS & disability service organisations for caring seniors or people living with disabilities. Your main duties will consist of, but are not limited to, personal care involving washing, toileting, dressing and meal preparation. Further duties may include general and/or specialised assistance that will empower your client to exist as a dignified individual by promoting their independence and liberty. You are a dedicated professional and passionate about making positive contributions to care recipients’ life.

Support Worker

Support Worker

You have completed your Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disabilities) or above, and/or worked a couple of years in aged care or NDIS & disability service organisations. Rather than carrying out care workers’ duties, you feel that your personal gifts are better geared towards offering social and emotional support. Your duties usually though not exclusively involve supervision, encouragement, companionship and appropriate guidance in areas such as mental health, learning disabilities, eating disorders and some associated challenging behaviours.

New to Caregiving

New to Caregiving

You have enrolled in Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disabilities) course or recently graduated, or you are a school leaver or people re-entering the workforce or decided to join the rewarding profession. You have developed your passion in the caregiving industry, whether that passion came from your life experience, community volunteering or school-based work readiness programs. You are keen on gaining more valuable practical experience in aged care or disability care organisations and are prepared for the upcoming career challenges and rewards.
